The Slammer Gang
As promised, we now get to J.T., Jim and Don's trip. They come every year in June for a double stay, splitting their trip between Wathaman and Davin Lakes. They are some of our most faithful clients, making the trip from Texas and Colorado as long as we've run the camp. Being some our more successful fishermen, we ask Jim to send us a trip summary each year. They keep meticulous records of each of their trips. It is refreshing to know that the quality of our fishery continues to improve each year. Due to our policy on trophy fish, we expect this trend to continue.

Thanks for the great info Jim, J. T. and Don!!

June Fishing Update
June has been a very busy month. Sorry it took so long to update the blog! We began the month with the Cosmopolitan Club from Prince Albert again. They had a wonderful time and will return next year. The following week Bob and Manny were back for Manny's 29th trip to Davin Lake. He says the fishing is the best it has ever been as he caught a 31.5 inch Walleye (yes, you read that right). We have no doubt Manny will be back to celebrate his 30th trip to Davin next year. We're taking ideas for the celebration...
At Wathaman, Garrett Growney and his group had a wonderful time catching hundreds of Pike and Walleye in the narrows. Even though the water was so low, they really enjoyed themselves.
Following Garrett's group, longtime clients J. T., Jim and Don as well as Mike Rice and Mark Stephendon from Colorado were at Wathaman. Mike and Mark caught a 40" and a 41" Pike as well as a 28" Walleye on their fly rods.
We will get to J.T., Jim and Don in the next blog post.
This past week, we had a group from Summit Sales and Service in Medicine Hat. They chartered a bus and had an outstanding fishing trip. Matt caught a 45.5" Pike which is currently leading the 2015 Pikemaster Contest.

My apologies to you all. We have had computer problems since we got here and I haven't been able to do a regular blog. My computer has been sent out but not fixed yet.
I cannot post pictures but can tell you that fishing has been tremendous. The largest to date is 45.5 inches caught last weekend by one of the guys from the Summit Sales and Service group from Medicine Hat. Mor info to follow.
The walleye are getting bigger every year. Manny caught and released a 31.5 inch walleye but we have had many 28 inch and 30 inch caught and released.
The pike are a bit skinner than usual. It must be due to the lower water levels last winter. That's likely why the pike are on such a feeding frenzie, to gain their weight back.
We have had reports that guests have caught and released up to 200 fish per day per boat. There has definitely been more trophy pike caught and released this year than any other in the 11 years we have been here. We attribute this to our catch and release program on the trophy fish.
Hopefully my system will be working soon. Usually Spencer Shout would do my blog but he is the middle of moving from Tennessee to Texas and isn't set up to help me out right now. That will likely happen sooner that my computer will get fixed. You should hear from him soon.
Thank you for your understanding. Until next time.
