I would like to apologize for neglecting the blog.
Fishing has been tremendous and the fishing seems to be getting better every year.
We just finished our annual bus tour last week, all the guests had a great time. Alex Brown caught and released the biggest pike hence winning a trip back next year. He released a 42 inch pike. Congratulations Alex. Alex has been on the bus since the beginning and has caught and released the biggest pike three times. Alex is a "master angler" at Davin Lake!!!!
The pike are really agressive, getting ready for winter. They are so much fun to catch and are fat and healthy. The walleye fishing is good but the trout are a bit difficult to catch.
The water level is average for this time of year.
You can tell the seasons are changing, fall is just around the corner as the nights are getting very cool and the birch have starting to change color. The days are getting shorter and the loons have finished their loon dance and have picked their mate for the next season. It is sad but we will be leaving for home in less than three weeks.
I have enclosed a picture of Alex Brown's fish as well as a picture of a monster nontypical moose. Please note the rare set of horns. This moose was spotted and photograped by Montie during the bus tour.
Will try to update in a week or so. Till then, take care.
